This Impact Calculator Tool is designed to assist companies, investors, and off-grid solar stakeholders to estimate the impacts created when a household gains access to a solar lantern, multi-light kit or home system they have sold, invested in or supported.
This tool accompanies the Standardised Impact Metrics for the Off-Grid Solar Energy Sector publication
and uses the metric formulas laid out in that document - created to provide a harmonised framework for impact measurement.
Before using this tool, it is strongly recommended that users read the full publication to understand the methodology
used to create each metric, and any related limitations. Key limitations are included below.
